Purevision Multifocal

If you are in the 40 something age bracket you will start to experience issues seeing things close up, these days this problem usually first becomes evident when we reading or texting on mobile phones.

This condition is call Presbyopia and it's unavoidable.  Presbyopia is caused by a natural aging process where the natural lens in the eye becomes inflexible and unable to bend to be able to bring close items into focus. 

There are a number of options available to solve this problem, one of them is multifocal contact lenses such as Bausch & Lomb's Purevision.  Purevision multifocal contact lenses provide clear vision at every distance – near, intermediate and far even if you only need a reading correction.  Multifocal contact lenses sometimes can take alittle time to get used to in comparison to multifocal spectacles as they work slightly differently. 

The Bausch & Lomb Purevision multifocal contact lenses are based on a simultaneous aspheric design which places the near and distance corrective prescription in front on the pupil at the same time and the brain needs to work out which area of the contact lens it needs to use, to bring the object into focus.  Sounds complicated but once you’re used to it frameless vision is very convenient.
